Dear Donna,

I wanna thank you for make part of my life. Thank you for being such a great influence and for the love that you give me through your voice and person.
You know, when you have an idol, it means more than just admire that person's work. It's a kind of identification. I'm a girl who live in the land of dreams unreal and who keep been disappointed by waking always in the same old room. So I dream and I know it's time for me to pray real hard and to strive myself. I believe that fairy tales do come true! If my Dear Fairy Godmother is saying so, it must be right, right? ;-) Thank you for being one of my reasons to always keep the faith.

Well, it's that time of the year again. I wish you a very blessed Christmas Season and a New Year full of joy! Oh yeah, and long live the Queen! Happy Birthday, Donna!

May God bless you and your loved ones.

Love you unconditionally.

P.S.:- "The same old room" does not look that bad since I can have a picture like that on my wall, don't you think so? lol
3 merry christmas and happy birthday donna
one thing all of your fans would really appreciate would be a box set of demos of some of your big hits like the other big artists have done.

Hi Donna Summer.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2012. I’ve been watching tons of Youtube videos of you, from the earliest to the latest, and I must say that they’re all interesting. I especially enjoyed the interviews with Dick Clark, Johnny Carson and Oprah Winfrey as well as the Sunday Morning Show on CBS. Have you consider dancing on “Dancing With The Stars?” I really enjoy that show. Have a wonderful holiday season and God Bless you. Aloha!

Dear Donna,

I can't believe another year has passed so quickly, because it seems like only a few months ago I was sending you happy thoughts and wishes to you and your family for a very Merry Christmas and also for a Happy & blessed 2012! Wow 2012, who would have thought of the year 2012? Back in 1979, the year 2012 just didn't seem possible as it seemed so far off almost like a century away! Well here we are, and it's that time again where I send you my sincerest well wishes to you and your family. On a side note... I wanted to let you know that I remember your dad fondly. Mr. Gaines was always such a nice and sweet gentleman to me whenever I would go to the old building you once owned on Vine Street. Those were the good old days, but now we're on to more good old days in the new year, and the future years to come & follow. Blessings and happiness to you, and of course I send you a very a HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU on the 31st!

I love you always Donna! You're a grand & a classy lovely lady that I've had the truest pleasure of meeting! Thank you for all of your amazing and fun music you've created, & also for the future music you'll release that I can't wait to hear and buy it!

All the best Donna!
& remember that I Love, Love, Love you Donna!
Sincerely...

Sergio G. Silva

PS: DONNA, I've attached an old photo that I think you'll remember. I know I do, and I'll never forget it!

Dear Donna, Bruce, Family and Associates,

Another year go by.... and what a year it has been. I got to meet Abner and Amanda and enjoyed their fun and warm personalities. They create such well-crafted and written melodies. Congratulations! The next generation is representing you well. I look forward to seeing and hearing more music from the whole family. Donna, will you grace us with another full length album next year? And, possibly a Live Concert on Blue Ray? We all hope so. Please, do not keep us from your "gift" for too long.

I want to close my E-Greeting by personally thanking you again on behalf of my father and family for the thoughtful birthday card, celebrating his 75th Birthday as he recovers from his illness. He is doing well and is stable now.
Thank you very much. Below, please find a picture of the Hanke family together celebrating his birthday at his favorite Seafood restaurant.

My love to all, Merry Christmas and to a Happy 2012 full of new and exciting opportunities.
Donna, Happy Birthday to you too. I will be thinking of you on Dec. 31st.

19 One of my Earliest memory about Christmas time was when we stayed in this 2 room Log house. My parents would take out the Simpson Sears-Christmas Wish Book and Also EATONS [Store chain no longer Exist] usually about the first week of November. We would all choose a small gift that we wanted from the pictures and my mom & dad would order it for us. There was a small general store on the Reserve but it only sold mostly food and basic stuff that was needed. My dad ordered this RED 2 L pale of Hard Christmas Candies along with our Gifts and sent it off in the mail.
One evening about a month later after our parents came back from the store on mail day,We all gathered around our table with the Kerosene Oil Lamp Lighting our house[We didn't have Electricity or running water back then] First They would hide our Gifts away first and we all waited for dad to open the Red pale of Christmas Candies for us to choose one. When we all each Picked out our Candy dad would put away the pale for another week and we would get another piece then, Sometimes we would go for months when we forgotten about it and he would bring out the pale again to Surprise us! It was at this moment that I FIRST tasted Peppermint & Cinnamon Candy[The Candy Cane taste.] Oh Mercy how I fell in love with that taste. I Relish the moment and that taste and memory stayed with me to this day. Today when I taste Candy Canes at Christmas,It brings me Right back to this time growing up and I treasure these Innocent and humble beginnings of my parents bringing us up. I'm glad these c
andies come out Once a year, I have my own Ritual now,I wait until almost Christmas when I would open one and let the taste bring me back home to when I was 5 or 6 years old and can be that age only in memory for the moment.

Hi Donna,

In many ways 2011 has been a special year for me. My sister got married and my whole family went to the country where we were born and grew up, Suriname, to celebrate my father's 85th birthday!

Donna-wise, the year started good when I traveled to Zurich early February to see you perform at the Art on Ice event (see photo)! You looked stunning and you sounded amazing!

I feel so fortunate that I am your fan, non Donna-fans are really missing out on a lot ; ) ! Thanks for the millionth time for sharing your graceful talents with us and for being the person you are.

Wishing you love, inspiration and good cheer during the holidays and during the whole new year 2012!

Love always, Jeffrey (Jeff) Muskiet

Merry Christmas Donna!!! As the 'story of hope we all share' continues to roll on and on it's time for a little holiday cheer. Let's see, not too much news for us on the Summer front this year, Hopefully you're cooking up something special to drop on us 2012. Finger's crossed. In the interim and in the spirit of David Letterman I've decided to compile a list of the reasons why ! LOVE a certain CD of yours so much.:-)

TOP 10 REASONS WHY I LOVE YOUR 'CHRISTMAS SPIRIT' CD

10) It makes that thing called Auto-Tune jealous since there is actual REAL singing heard here. (What no T-Pain? lol)

9) Even the cathedral church bells wonder how you have so much clarity in your voice.

8) While 'working hard for the money' our Cathy plays this CD on a loop ALL YEAR ROUND for her cats with claws. Keeps 'em from scratching the furniture. :-)

7) Dr. Oz said it was good for our health. Dr. Phil said a bird in the hand is worth pressing repeat. And Oprah STILL regrets not inviting you to her 'Legends' ball.

6) You're not heard here singing 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' with Justin Bieber.

5) CD continues to spark heated debate over which version of 'O Holy Night' we like better - Solid Gold performance vs. the CD version. (Me, I ADORE them both.)

4) David Foster's ex-wives can all be heard singing 'Christmas Is Here' whenever he has a new hit record. Residuals!!! :-)

3) Herman Cain did NOT quote from 'Breath Of Heaven' after deciding to suspend his 2012 political campaign.

2) Three words: Occupy Christmas Spirit! ('When the Moon is in the Seventh House'...It's the 60's all over again.)

And The Number One Reason Why We All Love 'Christmas Spirit' Is:

1) 'I don't mean to interrupt you Barbra, but Donna Summer's 'Christmas Spirit' is one of the greatest holiday CD's of all time!!!' - Ode To Kanye lol

____________________________________________________________________

This CD also proves you can sing ANYTHING with passion and fervor because that's what you do. And as an artist you do it better than most. Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame? You're even greater than that in my book. Although it couldn't hurt them to open up their ears. lol Anyhow, may the occasion always be festive and songs of rejoicing continue to ring out loud and clear for you and all your family. And thanks again for the gem that is 'Christmas Spirit'.

Blessings and Happy Birthday Too!!!

Canard711/Simmadowna/Stampyourfeet

And in my yearly tribute to the 'Christmas Spirit' CD here's this year's video I put together this year for 'The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)' .

Cheers! :-)

29 Dear Donna, Tis the season when Christmas Spirit gets a daily spin in the player. What an impressive piece of work (goosebumps)! Christmas would just not be the same without it. I want those two promised CD’s this year! But, at the same time think it is time for another Christmas one as well. Here’s an idea.

You should record a Christmas album reflecting the traditional (Jesus) and commercial (Santa) nights of Christmas possibly titled Christmas (Two Nights). Side one should be traditional tunes with classics such as Silent Night, Mary Did You Know? Away In A Manger all describing the night of Jesus’s birth. Side two of the album should be contemporary, highly synthesized with such classics such as Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, Jingle Bells, Silver Bells, Santa Claus is Coming to Town describing the night of Santa’s arrival. The two sides should be blended in the middle with an original Donna song describing the two nights. The ballad intro would be traditional while the uptempo part would be the commercial side of Christmas. With talent such as yours, you could lay down the vocals in no time while Giorgio (side 2) and O’Martian (side 1) take charge of mixing and engineering. Hope you will consider it. In the mean time, Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday and can’t wait to hear what you have in store for us in 2012.

Love You Much, Tony Nichols, WV

Merry Christmas! I admire and love your partnership and marriage. You respect each other as separate people, and yet you are always there for each other.

By the way, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was robbed of having a GREAT singer. Next year, I will buy that gown I had my eye on for your inductee dinner!

37 Hi Donna. My name is Richard. A few years ago, you were in Chicago at an event called Music Experience. You did an on-stage interview with host Dedry Jones. It was a lovely interview. You sang at the event. You were Amazing! as usual. At the conclusion of the event, you signed autographs. At first, I did not want to stand in line with the others. You see, your presence and your artistry has been a gift to me since I was around 10 or 12 years of age. I'm now, 45. My appreciation for you, and what Love expresses through you is as strong today as it was many years ago. You are part of the soundtrack of my life. To me, waiting in line like everybody else would have been like saying that what you are to me is no more or less than what you are to everybody else. In my mind, I would like to consider myself your Number 1 Fan. However, I would imagine all those that care for your artistry, each considers themselves your Number 1 Fan. Donna, I did wait in that line. I wanted to ask you a favor; and knew that, for you to do that favor for me would make the moment a true gift. I have a saying, like a mantra, that's near and dear to my heart. It's: Hold on to Peace. I say it all the time. I knew that, to have you write, Hold on to Peace, on my Crayons CD would be a treasure beyond measure. My favorite saying, being written by one of my favorite people in the entire world. That would truly be lovely. I asked you to sign my Crayons CD with, Hold on to Peace. You did it. Thanks. Donna, during this Holiday Season, and always, my wish for you is continued strength in your hold on to Peace. Donna, I'm thankful to Love, God for you. Happy Holidays! Happy Everdays! Wishing you, your family, and us all, Peace on every level. Hold on to Peace

Richard R

40 Dear Donna,

Once again, thank you for all the great memories. Your music will always be my life's soundtrack. It holds very special meaning to me. Thank you for being so incredibly influential before the Madonnas, the Britney's and GaGas. You pioneered and shaped dance music for my generation with you amazing voice. I remain extremely hopeful you will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame very soon. What an honor it is you continue to be recognized by your peers just to get a nomination. I am very excited about the new music you will be releasing next year. Until then, have a very Merry Christmas with your loved ones, and a rewarding and healthy new year. Happy early birthday to you as well. Finally, I ask you this every year: Would you please come to San Francisco for an amazing concert?

Sincerely,

Dear Donna:

As another year goes by, we find ourselves at that time of the year when carve out some time to stop, reflect, and gives thanks for what we have, past, present and future.
Sometimes what we reflect on isn't always happy, or pretty, but it is all part of of our personal journey.

A constant in my life since way back when is your music, and through all the good, bad, happy, and sad, I have a soundtrack to my life, that you are a big part of.

I know that I speak for many of your "friends unkown" when I say that we look forward to your new recordings, as well continue to relish your extensive catalog.

If I can make one special request, I know that making time for prayers and devotions is an important part of your daily life.
Say for prayer for me now and then, as I enter the 2nd year of dealing with heart related health problems, I can use all the help I can get !
