Dance To Erase MS
April 13, 2007
Kevin O. here from Phoenix reporting on the Race to Erase MS event titled Dance to Erase MS
where Donna performed on Friday night. The evening began with a great Dance Exibition done by
the Dancing with the Stars contestants followed by a fun Tommy Hillfiger fashion show. The
fashion show included both models and Celebrities one of which was our very own Brooklyn Sudano!
She did a great job and seemed to enjoy being a part of the event. Next was dinner and the live auction
followed by the entertainment segment. The show kicked off with the Goo Goo Dolls performing a few
of their hits. Then Earth, Wind and Fire came on doing several of their top songs at which point it
appeared the event was over until David Foster came back on stage. He announced that he would like
to ask someone to come up on stage and do a few numbers if they don't mind. And then there she
was walking up the row from her table where Bruce and Brooklyn were seated our DIVA Donna Summer!
She looked absolutely awesome ( about 25 lbs less ) very toned and radiant in a brand new white sheer
leopard print gown. The detail was incredible as each leopard spot had beads in it for a great effect on
stage. I would say based on her appearance she is serious about making a real comeback ( not that she
really ever left us! ) She did not have her band there but Earth, Wind and Fire provided the music so she
only did 3 songs Bad Girls, Hot Stuff and Last Dance. The stuffy crowd LOVED her and was going crazy!
Both Virginia Madsen and Holly Robinson Peete were non stop screaming, singing and dancing to each
song! Donna too seemed to be having a good time. She then closed the show by leading off with Lean On
Me while being joined on stage by the other Celebrities ( this is the theme song of this event each year ).
I did get to speak with Donna earlier in the day prior to the show re: the new CD and I can just say watch
out it's gonna be HOT! sounds like it will be all new material (recently written) non of the "vault items" or
"covers" as we were thinking. It should also be a nice variety of styles not just dance music.
It's going to be a HOT Summer !
